REINFORCING EDUCATION for ARTISTIC and CREATIVE THINKERS
Rap Rhyming, Guitar Thrashing, Snap Dancing, Fashion Styling, and Record Producing are just a few of the things one can do at Rocketown’s NEW, and COMPLETELY FREE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

But there also is:
TUTORING, ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, and lots, and lots, of DODGEBALL!
Monday-Friday 2:00-6 pm.

Receive Help with School while also taking Classes in Film Editing, Photography, Graphic Design, Screen Printing, Song Writing and Hip Hop Dance.

Mission: To strengthen and improve students’ math, science, and reading comprehension by connecting education with music, art and leadership development.

Success: Students who participated throughout the entire Re-Act Program, from November 18, 2008 to May 18, 2009 have seen on average:

Reading grades increase 6.5%
Math grades increase 11.1%
English grades increased 3.2%
Absences cut from 6.87 days (1st marking period) to .28 days (4th marking period)
All 10th and 11th grade students scored proficient on English and Algebra Gateways

How to get involved:

You have four pieces of paper to fill out. These forms cover the following:

Information on you, your parent or guardian, and your transportation plan
Short answers for why you want to take part and what you hope to accomplish
An agreement between you and Re-Act AND your parent/guardian and Re-Act
An additional agreement between your parent/guardian and Re-Act

Transportation: Rocketown is able to provide free MTA bus passes to RE-ACT participants. These passes are good all day.
